CLASS 3 TRUCK DRIVER (with Air)

Reporting to the Operations Manager, this position will ensure orders are delivered to an identified location in a safe, timely and professional manner. We have a newer fleet and are looking for the right addition to our customer service focused, professional driving team.

Responsibilities:

  • Pre-trip inspections are to be completed prior to start of shift.
  • Ensure orders are accurately filled and loaded to daily requirements.
  • Quality check all loads.
  • Check load ensuring weight restrictions are met and load is secured.
  • Drive truck in a safe manner ensuring all laws and regulations are met and/or followed.
  • Deliver product to destination, ensure safe placement of vehicle on property, unload or assist in unloading of materials.
  • Answer customer questions or direct concerns to appropriate staff.
  • Return to site for site clean up, salvage material, load and unload materials to appropriate yard area.
  • Ensure sales orders are returned, filed and forwarded to the shipping office.
  • Check purchase order against bill of lading and identify short shipments.
  • Phone in to Shipper when you are done your last delivery/pick up.
  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Class 3 driver’s license with air endorsement.
  • Must be highly organized, detail oriented with superior customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Good communication skills, professional, positive attitude, problem solving ability.
  • Capable of adapting to change readily.
  • Knowledge of building materials, picking orders, loading and unloading, as well as lumber delivery experience.
  • A team player with a strong desire to succeed.
  • Excellent knowledge of the city, surrounding area and a clean driving record.

Shipping Assistant Journey Planner

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Shipping Assistant Journey Planner is responsible for assisting with the complete operations of the Shipping Department including the organization of the work for warehouse and yard staff.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Working in BisTrack software.
  • Responsible for maintaining the Journey Planner, scheduling and communicating with all truck drivers, forklift operators, yard and warehouse staff.
  • Ensure orders are accurately filled and loaded to daily requirements.
  • Performing quality check on all loads, identify short shipments and correct or advise as needed.
  • Monitor and distribute workloads ensuring accurate on time shipping.
  • Serve customer pickups in a timely and professional fashion.
  • Enter stock transfers, follow-up.
  • Liaise with Operations Manager ensuring fleet maintenance is up to date at all times.
  • Responsible for maintaining security of yard and safety of staff and customers.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BisTrack software and Journey Planner experience or similar an asset.
  • High degree of organizational skills.
  • Strong management skills.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Provincial Workplace Health and Safety Act and Regulations.
  • Knowledge of lumber and or building supplies.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to multitask and remain on schedule.

Reporting to the Shipping Supervisor, this position will ensure orders are delivered to an identified location in a safe, timely and professional manner. We have a newer fleet and are looking for the right addition to our customer service focused, professional driving team.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Current Class 5 driver’s license, clean driver’s abstract with excellent knowledge of the city and surrounding area is required. Must be highly organized, detail oriented with superior customer service and interpersonal skills. Good communication, positive attitude, problem solving skills with the ability to adapt readily to change. Knowledge of building materials, picking orders, loading and unloading, as well as lumber deliver experience is an asset.
